MER - Washington - 2/5/98:
It's not just Bill Clinton in Washington who is a master at
deception and prevarication. The American Secretary of State is right on up there. And
these days lies are much in the Washington air -- from the Oval Office, to the Pentagon,
to Foggy Bottom.
Let's not forget that this is the lady who has championed the
near-genocidal sanctions against Iraq for years, all the while claiming to be concerned
with the Iraqi people!
Let's not forget that this is the lady who repeatedly screamed at
U.N. Secretary-General Boutros Ghali that he must not publish the damning report about
Israel's terrible Qana massacre lest the U.S. veto him for his second term.
Let's not forget this is the lady who appointed as Assistant
Secretary of State for the Middle East a former Israeli lobby official who was not even an
American citizen when Clinton was elected President.
And most of all let's not forget this is a lady who has been working
exceedingly closely with the Israelis to control the Middle East region -- among the main
reasons she got the job in the first place -- no matter what deceptions and distortions
she utters in public these days.
