Topic: Spielberg's Survivors of the Holocaust

reply top I just got done watching Spielberg's Survivors of the Holocaust. Very sad indeed. One thing struck me in the 'film' (It was really a promotion for his foundation.)-- there were, by accurate historical accounts, a total of 11 million people killed by the Nazis during that time of Hitler's reign. It was even mentioned in the film. How come the number is constantly referred to as '6 million Jews?' The other 5 million women, children, and innocent men of other religions and ethnicities who were cruelly taken from their homes and families to be imprisoned in the concentration/torture camps don't count, I guess, to Spielberg.

reply top Not true. Mr. Spielberg and Jewish community tell world about other victims of Nazis: Gypsys, Gays, Communists, anti-fascists. Look it up. Very true.

reply top According to their propaganda we are to believe that for six years, 39-45, each and every day more than 3000 of them died. Sad if true but more than difficult to believe.

I once asked Spielberg on an 'Ask Spielberg' progrm on AOL why he had never produced a mini-seris undar the name of 'Intifada.' Can you imagine, all the passion and seething anger of men, women and children resisting the Jewish colonists and trespassers with stones and bare hands. The tears, the bullet holes, the blood flowing, the homes being demolished in front of crying Palestinian woman and children. He answered that it wouldn't sell in America. I then asked him why he felt this way. He said, 'Because us Jews wouldn't produce it and we own Hollywood!' TheAZCowboy

reply top I don't care for Spielberg at all -- I think he's an egocentric maniac; however, to say he's the Holocaust's 'best commissioned salesmen' is an insult to all the men, women, and innocent babies and children who died mercilessly at the hands of Nazi terrorists. I mean, really, Cowboy! Can you imagine being ripped out of your home, your kids sent to one concentration camp, you sent to another, not knowing what will happen, surviving day to day not knowing if your children are alive or dead? I don't care how people try to trivialize the Holocaust. It was a very dark day in history and hopefully will never be repeated on this magnitude by ignorant and cruel racists.

reply top Pious pronouncements on the horrors of the holocaust, safely secreted in the past, comfortably potrayed as as possibility in the future, thus invested with abject meaninglessness- TRIVIALIZED- as a mechanism of ego-defense against the 'assaults' of scholastic jihad. I don't have to imagine these circumstances, Barb, they happen everyday in Palestine where the barbed-wire enclosed concentration camps grow and fortify themselves by the hour. reply top When exactly have the Israelis said that the Palestinians should be eliminated off the face of the earth? I recall the Israelis making very serious offers for peace in the Fall of 2000. If memory serves me right, rather than counter offer the Palestinians launched a war against the Israelis. There is a big difference here between what the Nazis did to the Jews and what is going on in the Mid-East. I believe that AZCowboy actually advocated for the elmination of all of Israel by Iranian or Syrian missles. That sounds like genocidal behavior to me. Seems like some of you may be projecting your own genocidal tendencies and fantasies on to the Israelis. The latter are clearly playing hardball in a very ugly war, but lets call it for what it is, and not engage in melodramatic, propogandistic diatribes.

reply top The holocaust should be a lesson for all that killing minorities is immoral. Unfortunately that message has been altered to killing Jews is immoral. It made me sick in school to constantly hear about how the Jews suffered and to never hear about the millions of others that were killed. Ellie Wiesel is one of the authors I was forced to read, as others of you may have read. Rightly he talked about the horrible nature of murdering innocent people based on their ethnicity and bashes the German people for not stepping in. Wiesel has been asked in interviews how he feels about what Israel is doing to the inhabitants of the West Bank and his response is that 'he would never criticize Israel outside of Israel' and that 'he doesn't have the information to make an opinion.' If anyone wonders how the Germans could have gone along with Hitler, just look at Wiesel as the modern day example.

Tonights bombing at a Passover party in Natenya killing 19 Israeli's and wounding a slew of other party goers does not compare with the carnage the IDF directed in Ramallah, Jenin and Rufah in the days preceding the arrival of General Zinni killing over 200 Palestinian's and wounding hundred's while leaving 40 Paly homes a pile of concrete and ribar. reply top Counter (kown-ter) v - to propose an alternative solution. e.g., 96% of the West Bank, All of Gaza, 1% of Israel proper, Arab quarter and Armerinian Quarter of Jerusalem, etc. Launch War (lawnch war) v - To promote and pay people to send their children to blow themselves up in an effort to force your opponent to meet your demands without you having to negotiate. Just look in the dictionary Cowboy.

reply top Oh my God, can the both of you open your eyes!? There are innocent women and children being killed on both sides, and it is impossible to determine what the root cause of it is. There is NO PROOF, and without it, you will be bickering until you are both dead from old age. The Arab world hates Israel and would like to see them wiped off the face of the Earth, and the only reason they have survived this long is through US aid... The Jewish bastards who are destroying Palestinian innocents are no better then the terrorists that gave them the fear they have of the Arab World. There are two sides to this story, and almost everyone I see here are focusing on only one side of it. I didn't know horseblinders were so popular these days. You will find in life that mainly nothing is black and white. There is a reason for everything.
