reply top The tone of these discussions have become too negative to tolerate. As a result, MER has now begun building a more advanced message board which will require a more formal signup procedure. To the well intentioned good natured people seeking a forum for intelligent conversation, hang on! Thanks.

reply top I totally agree with those changes. In the meantime I hope for America that no one reads whats posted on this board. I was looking for dialogue but I have rarely encountered that degree of intolerance (even though i live in an arab country) and refusal to acknowledge the unfolding reality. Yes Karma, doll, etc.. u've had ur last word, U can go on spreading the hatred . kill more afhgans ,drop another nuclear bomb, then bomb irak again coz its easy and no one cares. avenge the blood spilled on the 11 with more blood. Thats the way to go. Then u can live safely in your evil empire...Or deal with the consequences.

reply top Simply wonderful. However, I do have a question. At this point, while the knowledgeable system admin can easily track me, I do want to use an alias for general public. Also, I do not want to be painted as a 'anti-semitist' for pointing the problems in the policies of Israel. Please ensure that our information does not fall into the wrong hands.

There is no factual basis on any of the articles contained on this site. Your readers are themselves mostly comprised of anti-semetics, & anti-americans! Your readers have no inclination to see the current world climate from another view.

reply top Tarek, It certainly seems to me that you cannot open your mind to the thoughts of any other people on this topic. However, I can. I am curious to know what you think WE should have done to punish the religious fundamentalists that attacked our country. I'm curious to know what your world leaders would have done if they were a target to a bunch of religion crazed, wide-eyed men who's idea of a Saturday afternoon is perfecting the use of biological warfare. It seems that you have a better idea, and I am not being risisble when I say, I would really like to hear it.

reply top Punishment, Revenge or Justice - which one do you want? For any of the above you need to prove the guilt of the perpetrator. Before that you must find him. So far, you have a suspect - nothing more. Once you find him, bring him to justice. Don't try to relieve your conscience by justifying innocent suffering caused by massive bombing of an already bombed country. Find him, try him, punish him - in that order. Arab countries would be brutal in their response, of that their can be little doubt. But that's beside the point. If western civilisation is so great then it must show itself to be. Don't try to justify cruelty by cruelty or the presumed cruelty of others.

reply top I too am rather dismayed by the intolerance of some of the people osting on this site, and, clearly, the We Master has the right to intervene. I wonder, though, whether in this awful time it is best to let people rant on, and display their ignorance. I'm getting a clearer idea of why this war is being waged without, apparently, massive resistance from the American people, who I know to be loving, caring and compassionate. It's the same where I live in England, the people want the bombing to stop, Tony Blair seems determined that it will continue, despiter urgent appeals from aid agencies warning of the humanitarian disaster which will occur if food is not taken in NOW. I am perfectly happy to use, as I do, my real name, address whatever. What is at stake is so important. I wish some Americans didn't seem to view a criticism of their government foreign policy as a personal attack on all Americans, and, especially, that those of us who ask questions don't care deeply about what happened on September 11th. Perhaps it's precisely because I do care about human life that I care about those people - of all nations, not just American, who died in the World Trade Center. This board is helping me understand what is going on - warts and all

reply top I hope the Webmaster will carefully consider any changes which censor anybody, or are perceived as such. Any discussion of US Mideast Policy is emotionally charged. A great deal of rage and ignorance must be tolerated from all sides to assure that all opinions are permitted. It is censorship that has got us in this predicament. It won't get us out of the mess we all find ourselves in.

reply top Reading some of these hysterical postings, some of you people seem to think that the US military and its allies are targeting civilians! Hello? May I speak? The military is targeting the Taliban regime -- the regime that skins people alive, tortures and oppresses women, kills young men if they refuse to join the Taliban, uses a football stadium to do public executions (shooting women in the back of th head, etc.) WAKE UP! HOW CAN YOU BE AGAINST EXTERMINATE THESE PERPETRATORS OF EVIL???

reply top stan clark, I agree, I had posted 'America's View', and the web master bumped it off. I did not use any offensive language, and the post was extremely well-written for someone who is not a journalist. I was wondering why that post got bumped, Mr. Web Master?
