reply top Let me say that whoever this person is, does not represent the majority of americans. I hope that as an educated proponent for the eradication of the taliban, I can convey a clear message. This is not a war against the Muslim religion. You know those people who wait all day for you to slip up and say something wrong and when you do, they never let you forget it? That is what you are doing...Looking for some spark to start a holy crusade. Well, The United States is doing everything in its Superpower status to make the Zealots realize this has nothing to do with Jews, or Muslims. It has to do with Terrorists. If the Taliban would hand over Bin Laden, there would be no bombings. We want the terrorists. We also know that they are not just arabs and muslims. But we are concerned in taking down the AL Quada Network, which is highly muslim. If there were white anglo saxon protestants in the Al Queda, we would be on the look out for such persons. If you want to make this tragedy into something that it isnt, to fit your own personal pursuits, be my guest. But know that the middle east countries arent buying the claim of Jihad. That is a radical statment from someone who has twisted the meaning of the Islamic faith.

reply top Michael C: Great points. For people to try to make this into a 'racial profile' issue is a joke. The same people say that no one was looking for white boys with crew cuts after the Oklahoma City Bombing. Well, they WERE looking for white supremist groups, skinheads, KKK, and the like, ALL of which are white! At Circuit City, an employee was fired because a mideastern man came in and asked very nervously for a short-wave radio for his friend. The employee got suspicious (short-wave radios are to listen to police broadcasts) and told management. After the press got hold of the story, the company fired the employee. I hope the EMPLOYEE gets an attorney and wins a major lawsuit because that is bullshit. It will only discourage people from reporting suspicious things.
