An open letter from Salim Hoss to George W. Bush

Mr. President:

If this is what your glorification of freedom, democracy, and human rights implies; if the murder of human beings the terrorizing of children, the demolition of houses, precipitating bloodshed among the innocent, setting ablaze all means of livelihood, constitute your human values; if crushing a whole population, uprooting it from its terrain, dispersing it all over, are your supreme values; if those were your objectives in supplying Israel with weaponry and lavishly bestowing your money on it, thus conferring your political and moral support on its atrocities, hollow would be any values principles and objectives.

Down with the freedom you purportedly extol, down with the democracy you ostensibly espouse, down with the human rights you proclaim, should a recurrence of human calamity in Palestine be their outgrowth.

America is Israel s partner in massacring the innocent, the intimidation of children, the dissipation of earning assets and the disbanding of families.
By what right does Israel extort Arab territories? By what right does an Israeli settle in a Palestinian s home? By what right may an Israeli determine other people s lives on a land not his own?

By what logic does the American president stand by as spectator, at times as instigator, as catastrophes unveil by force of American money and weapons and under the American political umbrella? By what logic does the American president keep silent vis-a-vis atrocious crimes perpetrated under the banner of a policy dwarfing the oppression of tyrants, the indulgence of aggressors, and the crushing force of arrogance?

You have opted, Mr. President, to be an ally of the slaughterer of the epoch, Sharon. So do not blame us if we cast his onus on you. In fact you have made yourself, whether purposely or inadvertently, an accomplice in his crimes. If America has ceased in our view to be as you claim that luminous torch of freedom democracy and human rights, you are in fact responsible for the stark transformation in our outlook. Israel is in reality exercising its belligerence by force of America s capabilities, renown and assets, all being in its name.

Those deplorable suicidal operations which you brand as terrorism have they not ever for a moment prompted you to ask yourself the question: Why would a young boy or girl be willing to sacrifice himself or herself with utter peace of mind and full determination? A population that harbors such a regrettable phenomenon and such an option is indeed determined not to surrender or kneel. The whole Arab nation stands wholeheartedly behind the Palestinian people in their strife for their basic rights. How do you label the phenomenon of a whole people standing ready to sacrifice half its numbers in struggle and martyrdom so that the other half will regain human dignity on its own land?
We beseech God to inspire in you a moment of conscience and freedom away from the yoke of Zionist hegemony so that you may do justice to a people that does not aspire to anything further than freedom and dignity. Why would you insist on denying others certain basic rights which you are enjoying aplenty?

Bush is a decent man who has no interest in keeping the Israelis and Palestinians fighting. Contrary to Oliver Stone conspiracies, there is no benefit to the USA this way.***************

Bush Urges Israel to End Offensive
Secretary of State Powell to Travel to Mideast to Seek Mideast

By RON FOURNIER
.c The Associated Press

WASHINGTON (April 4) - Under pressure to curb Middle East violence, President Bush urged Israel on Thursday to pull its troops back from Palestinian cities and dismissed Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat as a failed leader who ``betrayed the hopes of his people.'' He ordered Secretary of State Colin Powell to the region next week seeking a cease-fire.

With Powell standing at his side in the Rose Garden, Bush pressed Arab leaders to do more to end terrorism and emulate the peacemaking traditions begun by the late President Anwar Sadat of Egypt and King Hussein of Jordan and carried forward by their successors, Hosni Mubarak and King Abdullah.

``As Israel steps back, responsible Palestinian leaders and Israel's Arab neighbors must step forward and show the world that they are truly on the side of peace,'' Bush said in a new push for peace. ``The choice and the burden will be theirs.''

The remarks, particularly his call for an Israeli retreat, marked a shift in U.S. policy and thrust Bush deeper than ever into the Mideast crisis - exposing him to risk of embarrassment if Powell's mission fails. Apparently determining that inaction carried a greater risk, Bush sought Thursday to spread blame and issue challenges evenly between the parties.

As Bush spoke, Mubarak urged the administration to ``exert its maximum effort'' to secure an Israeli withdrawal. In an address to his nation, Mubarak said Israel's military campaign will create hatred among 300 million Arabs.

The Mideast crisis was sure to dominate Bush's weekend meeting with British Prime Minister Tony Blair at the president's ranch near Crawford, Texas.

Arafat and his Cabinet issued a statement early Friday unconditionally accepting the renewed U.S. effort, but Cabinet minister Saeb Erekat rejected Bush's criticism of Arafat as ``unjustified and unacceptable.''

While invoking a ``right to defend ourselves'' against ``this aggression against our people, against our towns, our refugee camps,'' the Cabinet statement said: ``From our side, we are committed without conditions to the declaration of President Bush.''

Powell called Arafat and discussed Bush's proposals, said Arafat aide Nabil Abu Rdeneh. He said Arafat accepted the proposals.

Israel's Foreign Ministry welcomed Powell's visit and promised ``to do everything so that his mission will be successful.'' Defense Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer issued a separate statement offering cooperation in ending the violence but adding, ``In the absence of a true willingness to do the same on the Palestinian side, Israel will continue in its actions to stop terror.''

There was no immediate reaction from Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, although Sharon agreed to permit a U.S. envoy to meet with the besieged Arafat. U.S. officials said they had reason to believe Israel would soon comply with Bush's request.

The U.N. Security Council unanimously endorsed Powell's Mideast mission and demanded an Israeli withdrawal from Palestinian cities ``without delay.''

On Capitol Hill, Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, D-S.D., welcomed Bush's announcement, saying, ``After months of violence, this initiative is rightly focused on results.''

However, another Democrat, Rep. Anthony D. Weiner of New York, called Powell's visit ``a bow to the bombers.''

The violence has threatened to undercut Bush's anti-terrorism coalition and to delay any plans to move against Iraq or other nations accused of harboring terrorists.

Bush warned Syria and Iran against inciting more terrorism.

``To those who would try to use the current crisis as an opportunity to widen the conflict: Stay out,'' Bush said.

Senior administration officials said Bush decided that last week's suicide bombings coupled with Israel's strong military response compelled him to restate his public views and add to them.

The call for an Israeli retreat was a shift in U.S. policy that has evolved on the fly.

Just five days ago, he defended the storming of Arafat's compound, saying of the Israelis: ``They're under attack.'' That same day, the administration backed a U.N. resolution calling on Israel to withdraw its troops.

Even as he sharpened his stance toward Israel, the president criticized Arafat on Thursday in harsher-than-usual terms. U.S. officials sent several signals that Bush's patience with Arafat may be running out.

With Arafat's headquarters under siege, Bush said, ``The situation in which he finds himself today is largely of his own making. He has missed his opportunities and thereby betrayed the hopes of his people.''

Israel launched ``Operation Defensive Shield'' last Friday to crush Palestinian militias that have carried out deadly attacks on Israeli civilians, now including seven suicide bombings in the past week.

Israeli forces have taken over six West Bank towns and cities and have arrested more than 1,100 Palestinians.

``I ask Israel to halt incursions into Palestinian-controlled areas, and begin the withdrawal from those cities it has recently occupied,'' Bush said.

He also urged Israel to stop building settlements in Palestinian areas and ``show a respect for - and concern about - the dignity of the Palestinian people.'' He said closed border crossings should be opened to allow for a freer flow of Palestinians.

Officials said Bush purposely did not mention a timetable for Israel's withdrawal or for an end to settlements, which Israel had conditionally agreed to as part of the derailed peace process.

Powell's mission could expose Bush to the risk of failure, but U.S. officials suggested they had reason to believe Israel would not snub his request to pull back. Bush aides said that optimism was based, in part, on Israeli statements that the military offensives were temporary and on conversations between U.S. and Israeli officials before Bush's speech.

Bush urged Arab leaders to curb terrorism, disrupt terrorist financing and ``stop inciting violence by glorifying terror in state-owned media or telling suicide bombers they are martyrs.''

By turning to Arab countries for help, Bush was tacitly acknowledging that Arafat had failed to stop terrorism and was unlikely to succeed alone, senior officials said. There were other signs that Bush was casting about for an alternative to Arafat, such as Powell's plans to talk to other Palestinian leaders during his trip.

Re: DIM BULB's indecency.

Contrary to popular belief, and of course those infernal 'polls' DIM BULB once said ment nothing to him, and as the US president continues to 'blow in the wind' making one bad blunder after another in defense of his Zionist thug friends and allies of Israel the story gets hairier.

Last month it was sending Gen. Zinni that was to help pull his suddenly ah-so pale arse out of the quagmire he's painted himself into.

This month, it's Colin Powell that will pull the ultimate miracle so that caca-for-brains comes out smelling like a bagal w/liverworst.

But, let's face it, the sucker hasn't any idea of what he should do except to follow the advice of the 'hawks' in his administraion--which means all of them except decent ole Colin Powell who seems to look like a 5th wheel on this Bush right wing killing machine.

No folks, Colin will not succeed either, and we all know the only way that success will be achieved in the Israeli invasion of Palestine will be something like the 77,000 missions flown, ( and the 120 Tomahawk cruise missiles launched ) by the US/NATO/English against the Milosevic killers of Serbia.

In the end it will be up to Hizbollah, Hammas, Islamic Jihad and the other Palestinian FREEDOM FIGHTERS that willl run Israel out of the Territories much as Hizbollah ran the IDF Cabrones out of Southern Lebanon two summers ago.

The latest zionazi disinformation campaign: Six days after trapping Yasser Arafat in his West Bank office, the zionazi military says it's looking after the Palestinian leader's health by providing food and medicine. If you believe this, there's some swampland in Louisiana I'd like to interest you in.

Here are some things to consider.

Al Ayqsa Martyrs - a radical movement which is part of Arafat's Fatah Party

Abortion clinic bombers - radical offshoot of the right to life movement, which is part of George Bush's Republican party

OKC bomber - radical attached to the Waco Wackos who reads too much about Ruby Ridge. Registered Republican by the way.

A whole shipload of arms sent from Iran and bound for the PLO

Hundreds of shiploads of tanks, helicopters, humvees, missles and amunition bound for Israel. Throw in several millions bucks also for good measure.

A zillion or so terrorists telling us they are killing us for supporting Israel.

US Israeli supporters telling us the attacks are just due to jealousy and the fact arabs just do not like us.

After putting Israel under the nuclear umbrella, requiring every reporter to give an Israel testimonial, Listening to Sharon, Netanyahu, Gissan, Pinkas, Peres, and Barak, give us advice about terrorists, we send a politicaly neutral group to the mideast to arrange a fair settlement of hostilities.

Today I return from vacation in Antarctica after spending the summer at the newest Hilton with all expenses paid by Afghanistan. During this time I set up a local outlet for Girl Scout cookies which are popular among the tourists.

George Bush appears on national TV telling Bill Crystal to go to hell. He doesn't need right wing Jews to get elected. Jerry Falwell ups his paxil doseage.

World learns that the 'third rail of politics' is badmouthing Israel and not social security

PS any death threats will be returned in kind.

'... making one bad blunder after another in defense of his Zionist thug friends and allies of Israel' (AZ)

George Bush and his Republican allies have never been friends with the Jewish people of Israel. If he had the balls, and if there wase no such thing as 'political correctness' and if it were not for the idiotic Jewish controlled congress, Bush would probably vote to end all associations with Israel. The Jewish vote has never been on the Republican side, it has always been and probably always will be, for liberal leaning Dems. One thing the USA and those of all political persuasions worries about, with good reason, is the potential destruction of sacred Christian places in Israel if the extremist Arabs had their way.

A bunch of hot air Barb. Before the zionazis took over, Christians and Muslims lived near one another. They may have had their differences, but there was no driving force to turn either them into destructive extremists. You can keep demonizing and labeling Arabs anyway you please, but the fact is that the Arab are resisting the West's aggression in which makes them automatically extremists and the enemy! The politicl, economic, and social aggression against the Arabs by the New World Order is not extreme or destructive in you eyes, is it?
The Liberals as far as I'm concerned will potentially destroy anything sacred in America!

Your mind is made up that all Arabs are extremists or terrorists. So no sense in trying to convince you otherwise. There may be extremists like there is in America relating to Abortion, cloning etc. but that doesn't make America as a whole an extremist nation. Criminals are criminals and the people will try to aim at radicating such criminals. Every decent person yearns for true peace. However, painting a dark picture of all Arabs has been a long held tactic by zionazis to justify their own form of terrorism.
