reply top barb. Thought for a moment that you had come to your senses but I am wrong. Are all the people in the USA as dumb as you? I hope not. You're certainly an abberation in the brain department. Still, now that you've discoverd how to 'cut and paste' plus the utterings of making inane and stupid statements, I wish for once that you understood what is going on around you. Have you ever heard of the expression, 'a level playing field'? Look it up on http://www/google.com and than come back with your question, :WHY should America support Palestinians ...' barb, as a USA tax payer and a voter you are allowing the Palestian/Israeli debacle to continue and by implication you will have the blood of the innocent on your hands. If you think that you can live with that then so be it and continue to live the life of an ignorant. Further as a European bystander I take a degree of objection to your statement in one of your previous posts about 'the Europeans started it and we have to clean up the mess ...' Just of late, what have the USA brave-cowards done of late if not from 30000 ft high. Your brave president called on the NATO power to help fight his war of terrorism. Remember his statement, 'One in all in' and the NATO particitpants complied. So I suggest that you wake up and get out of your dreamy euphoria as one day you'll have to pay ferryman.

reply top Newcomer: Barb is doing her 'patriotic duty' making sure anyone on this site who may reflect something a bit less than conventional thinking (unthinking) on these matters is never left in peace or allowed forget for one minute that 'might makes right'. The planet about which all the moons of her arguments revolve is the personal threat she 'experiences' on account of the existence of suicide bombers in the world who might one day attack the Mall or pizza parlor where she goes shopping. She loves to complain about 'political correctness' but has never read Aristotle's 'Rhetoric'. She has lots to say about Hitler but has never read any account of Nazi Germany except the lurid stories of their 'evil-doing leaders', who supposedly led the innocent German people down the garden path. Lately she has been accusing us of being Stalinists-perhaps something she has studied intensely in the National Enquirer. But, for the most part, she relies entirely on Time Magazine for all her facts and editorial opinions. She is a dedicated crusader! You might call her 'The worm at the heart of being'.

reply top An interesting thing about Barb's contributions which I notice again while glancing down at the most recent postings is her total inconsistency. Pat Buchanon makes an argument that all but denounces everything she has said about U.S. Policy, but 'it's a great article' by our most brilliant leader. She entirely supports Sharon's rationale for re-occuppying the West Bank, but has 'never approved of what Israel is doing to the Palestinians'. Barb has 'personal issues'.

reply top You do not have to be smart or informed to do damage!! The soldiers in the crusades were lowly farmers from all over eaurope that just beleived the propaganada and went to do the attrocities that to this day still lives... You have to start putting responsibility where it belongs.

reply top Again, newcomer(whoever you are, and you have stolen someone else's screen name to boot, and 'John A. Assume', I have 'done my patriotic duty' and have written my congresspeople and the white house many times asking them to withdraw support from Israel until Sharon is under control. Assholes! What else should I do? Go blow myself up in the local mall????

reply top As a European, you obviously have a low opinion of Americans. As for aberrations (you misspelled it) you appear to be lacking in brain power as well. You say you're a European and without 'dumb' Americans, you would be speaking German today under a fascist government. As for the Palestinians, their leader, Yasir Arafat had many opportunities to end the occupation of the west bank and the Gaza Strip. He blew it because his agenda is not peace but the elimination of Israel. That will not happen and not even a billion Arabs can defeat Israel. I don't need to remind you that in the three wars that the Arab states have started with Israel, they lost. Your command of written English is extremely poor but then you are forgiven...you're not a native English speaker. I would say to you to stretch your brain, but it may be already at its limit.

reply top If the Israelis didn't and presently don't have the 'welfare' weapons and money of America to hide behind, they would be scared of their own shadow! You will never see an Israeli soldier in an equal-fight, they prefer their tanks against stones, they prefer their 'kopters' against running civilians (women and children). You James Ranes will probably pass out from fear if you were in a fist fight with a Palestinian minor. So go and inflate your cowardly accomplishments until self-destruction you zzzzzzzionaaazi scum.
