Fears Of Taking U.S. Citizens Hostages As Bin Laden Threatens to Revenge

Bush

Rashid Omar, IOL Islamabad Correspondent

ISLAMABAD, April 13 (IslamOnline) – An informed Pakistani security source expressed fears of taking U.S. citizens hostages to pressurize Israel to release thousands of Palestinian detainees. The source explained that this could be executed by pro-Palestinian Pakistani or Afghani groups.

The source has specified the areas where U.S. citizens could be exposed to such risks: southern parts, eastern parts and states neighboring the border strip inhabited by Pashtun tribes, including Kandahar, Zabel, Ghazni, Baktica, Bactiya and Khost.

The source, who demanded not to be named, told IslamOnline: “There is a remarkable increase of attacks on the U.S., International and pro-U.S. Afghani troops in Kandahar, Kabul and Khost as well as different Afghani areas, particularly after the start of the barbarian campaign led by Sharon against the Palestinians, and after the U.S. evident support of Israel.”

Ben Laden

Leader of Taliban Movement, Mullah Mohamed Omar, has maintained in a statement, which he issued days ago and published in Pakistani papers, to fight the U.S. troops in Afghanistan until death.

Mullah Omar wonders in his statement about the U.S. pretexts for supporting Zionist terrorism and the barbarian treatment of Zionist entity for the unarmed Palestinian people. He has pledged to take revenge upon the Americans for the injustice done to the Palestinian people.

Days after the issuance of the statement by Taliban Movement leader, Al-Qaeda Organization has issued a statement – published by Pakistani media – entitled ‘A message From Al-Qaeda To Our Islamic Nation & Heroic People Of Palestine’.

The Al-Qaeda statement is to the effect that the war against U.S. that support Zionist terrorism, which kills Palestinians, will continue. It makes clear that Osama bin Laden is safe, secure and in good health, and that he prepares a Jihad program based on the current developments.

The statement also says that the 18 Americans, taken hostage by Taliban in Operation Anaconda in Gardez under the leadership of Saifullah, have all been killed.

A handwritten statement, distributed on 10/4/2002 in Kandahar, warns traitors of cooperation with U.S. troops in Afghanistan by providing them with information. The statement says that U.S. troops will depart someday, leaving them to face each other. It also pledges to take revenge upon the Americans.

Sources say: “The arrested suspects from Al-Qaeda members in Faisalabad and Lahore planned to target U.S. interests in Pakistan, in retaliation for the injustice done by the U.S.-supported Zionist entity to the unarmed Palestinian people.”

In another development, U.S. security sources said that both CIA and FBI take seriously an anonymous statement, transmitted by ‘Islamic’ News Agency and attributed to Bin Laden, that says: “….he [Bin Laden] reassures all believers the world over that he is in a good condition and that Al-Qaeda members will not leave Jews and Americans, who do injustice in Palestine go unpunished. He will take revenge. Every U.S. citizen anywhere in the world will be our target, in retaliation for our martyrs in Palestine. We will take every U.S. citizen a hostage in return for Palestinian hostages.”

Truly sad to see any civilians on any side targeted. But the US and Israel have killed literally millions of civilians over the years in Palestine, Lebanon, Vietnam, central America, Iraq, etc, and the other side was bound to reply in kind sooner or later.
