The postings on MER have gotten increasingly hate-filled, anti-Jewish, and just plain sickening!!! Why don't you recommend a name change from 'MER' to 'Jew Hating Website.' How do you 'people' (if you can even be called that!) think the Holocaust started? In much the same way-- it's like adding fuel to the fire. And approximately 5-600,000 of OTHER religions and ethnicities were also exterminated in the Holocaust. History has put the Holocaust where it belongs -- in the annals of what can happen when hatred gets out of control. As A Christian myself, Ozzie, AZ, you people should really think long and hard about your venomous hatred toward a certain people. It just shows your INCREDIBLE IGNORANCE AND BLINDNESS. Need I even mention this 'Wizzo' character? I think his postings speak for themselves.

Re: Hatred, Bigotry & Ignorance among Israel's critic's,' By: 'Big Boomer' Barb.

Gee Barb, if you had included APARTHEID, RACISM, STATE SPONSORED TERRORISM and even HUMAN BONDAGE, you could have included your Zionist pals on this post.

Lemmie ask you Barb, what is more 'Anti-Semitic' than the daily murder of Semitic Palestinian's in that Godless 1/2 acre of Zionist hell you are so enamored with?

I think it's pretty OBVIOUS to even the most stupid person that what is going on in Israel is wrong. How many more postings can we say 'frigging Jews,' etc????? I THINK THE POINT IS TAKEN FOR GOD'S SAKES.

But these violent and venomous postings about Jews in general sound so much like Hitler's SS! Can't we all pray for peace instead of chanting death to one side?

Hi Barb...when I first started reading the posts here I was looking for facts about what is going on and why....because if you remember I was feeling quite helpless about this situation. I've read a lot of the posts...and have learned enough at this point to say...there is no way out of this situation except for individuals involved to make appropriate choices for themselves....and remove themselves from the collective emotion that is driving all these events. One person at a time.

The hate filled posts are really such a tiny minority of people. And there are always l or 2 or 3 of them on internet discussion groups who are not doing anything more interesting in their lives than to drum up conflict among strangers. In their real lives they are probably just pussycats. Otherwise, they surely would be doing something more constructive about their beliefs...sending money to the palestinians. Writing their congressmen. Going to a demonstration. Enlightening others in a non-emotional way what is going on.

Things are so much better in Ireland...that should give hope to some of us. They worked things out by compromises. Like you have said...our danger now is the emotionalism that drives some people to act against their own best interests. Like I think I said before on this site...that emotionalism is like a communicable disease. If we don't stand centered in ourselves we can succumb to it. I think thats what happened to Seth...Now he needs to regroup within himself and shake off that psychic flu he picked up.

GREAT POST CAROL! I guess the trick is to completely ignore the hate-filled people posting these horrible messages.
