The Persecution of Bahá'ís in Iran

SUFFERING FOR THEIR COMMITMENT TO AN INTERNATIONAL VISION, BAHÁ'ÍS DEMONSTRATE THE COURAGE OF THEIR CONVICTIONS

Throughout the past century, the Bahá'ís of Iran have been persecuted. With the triumph of the Islamic revolution in 1979, this persecution has been systematized. More than 200 Bahá'ís have been executed or killed, hundreds more have been imprisoned, and tens of thousands have been deprived of jobs, pensions, businesses, and educational opportunities. All national Bahá'í administrative structures have been banned by the Government, and holy places, shrines and cemeteries have been confiscated, vandalized, or destroyed.
The 350,000-member Bahá'í community comprises the largest religious minority in that country, and Bahá'ís have been oppressed solely because of religious hatred. Islamic fundamentalists in Iran and elsewhere have long viewed the Bahá'í Faith as a threat to Islam and have branded the Bahá'ís as heretics. The progressive stands of the Faith on women's rights, independent investigation of truth, and education have particularly rankled Muslim clerics.

In June 1983, for example, the Iranian authorities arrested ten Bahá'í women and girls. The charge against them: teaching children's classes on the Bahá'í Faith--the equivalent of Sunday school in the West.

The women were subjected to intense physical and mental abuse in an effort to coerce them to recant their Faith--an option that is always pressed on Bahá'í prisoners. Yet, like most Bahá'ís who were arrested in Iran, they refused to deny their beliefs. As a result, they were executed.

International protest against the persecution has been widespread. Thousands of newspaper articles about the situation of the Bahá'ís in Iran have appeared around the world. Prominent international organizations, including the European Parliament and several national legislatures, have passed resolutions condemning or expressing concern about the Bahá'ís of Iran. Most important, the United Nations Commission on Human Rights and the General Assembly have pressed the Iranian regime to observe international human rights covenants with yearly resolutions--resolutions that have paid specific attention to the Bahá'í situation.

In response to this international outcry, the most violent aspects of this persecution had abated by the early 1990s--although at least one Bahá'í, a 50-year old Teheran businessman, was killed by the Government in 1992. However, the Bahá'ís of Iran remain without any fundamental guarantee of their right to practice their religion freely, and international efforts to win their emancipation continue.

Each Abrahamic religion has its prophet and its holy book.
Any behavioral changes applied in the practice of that religion constitute a departure from that religion.
God's religion is not like the us constitution which left the door open for people to change it as needed later on .
Any RABBI or PREIST or SHEIKH is not there to make things up .. there role is to translate the divine wisdom in the holy books into every day rules of there followers .. In doing this .. they have a lot of help from god .. by nature of those books ( all 3 contain basically the 10 commandments plus some historical references of what has happened before there prospective prophets life started) on top of those books the religious scholars also have the prophets ( even though humans they were divinely guided)there entire behavior in there life time also acts as a guide for the religious scholars to judge by.
Note .. this comes in a second stage only if the holy book does not contain a straight out ruling on the issue at hand.
No one have been able to justify theft , genocide, mass killing , suicide, innocent ( civilian ) killings by using the torah or the bible or the Koran!
If you look into those who kill by the name of religion theology .. you will always find some weird explanations and references to some obsolete actions of people OTHER than prophets.
of course the Talmud is entirely out of this discussion because if you read it you see it CAN NOT BE Devine! God will never tell you to go out and have a killing free day of all non Jews .. or to have sex with children under 11!
So to use the SHEITES ( Some Iranian sects) behavior against BAHAE's ( another Islam sect to say that Islam is violent.. really assumes that both sect ( both supposedly Muslims ) represent Islam as a faith .. which is really not logical since both do not follow the same rules of religion which is HOLLY BOOK FIRST then PROPHET ACTIONS second.
the word SECT makes you out side the faith to which you subscribe!
Just like the Arian nation claiming to be Christian!
You can claim to follow a relegion ... but weather or not you are within the flock is up to god to decide on. and you definately do not comply a basis on which this relegion should be judged.!
Ben laden theology and alot of people before him ... gives humans like you and me the right to judge how other people fall into there relegion or not!! and this is the most dangerous sin of all !!!
and all 3 relegions tells us that armageddon will come because of this kind of thought exactly!

Muslims are forbidden to condemn any other abrahamic faith to hell.
It is in the KORAN.. and the prophet STRONGLY advised against it.
this should give you pause considering how strict the rules were for dealing with pagans or start worshippers ( there was a lot of those in the arab area upon time of Islamic message).
Any muslim should be able to differntiate between the 2 groups of people (people of the book versus infedels and non beleivers)the only people who can not make the difference in reciting koranic versus are fox news commentators who talk about the relegion after they made the 5 $ investment of buying a masonic translated version of the koran!!
like Bill maher did.

Human Rights, Tolerance, Defense of Innocent Citizens and Security for Nations are all sought after ideologies Only To Be Applied For The Jewish Nation and The Jewish State. Outside of which such Ideologies should have no meaning.
The Bahae sect is a false religion created by the Muslim Jews, to defame Islam or to stand behind it unnoticed.
The call for Human Rights in China is made to defend Chinese
Jews in China, ONLY!!.

The Jews are not behind The Bahais.

The Bahais are behind the Bahais.

Let us hate the Jews and the Bahais, but let us not confuse them.
