reply top Iraq, Iran, Syria, and the Palestinians wish to see the Jewish state destroyed. They will stop at nothing to see the Middle East purely Muslim. Thus they will launch an attack on Israel, with the dual effort of trying to stave off an imminent attack from the USA on Iraq. Millions will die - both Jew and Muslim. Iraq will be no more. A Kurdish state will be born in the North. A new Hashemite Kingdom in the Center. And a Shiite state in the South. A Palestinian State will be born in Jordan and it is here that all of the Refugees, Gazans, Israeli-Palestinians, and residents of the West Bank will move to. This new Palestinian State will launch an attack on Israeli with its new army. Israel will go nuclear on this new state and an armistice will be called. Peace will finally root itself in the Mid-East.

reply top The critical event that will trigger WWIII will be the assassination of Sharon. Israel will retaliate against the Palestinians and possibly launch a pre-emptive nuclear strike on Damascus, Tehran, and/or Baghdad. The Muslim nations will unite to destroy the Israelis at all costs. The United States will be dragged into defending Israel. When the US mandates China to stop providing military arms to the Arab coalition against Israel, then China will be dragged into the war. Hence, WWIII. Western Europe cannot afford another World War, and they will try to remain out of it. Russia will likely side with the US, which will be a major breakage in the Russia-China relationship. But I'm not too sure of Russia - they could go either way - probably the way of who will control the Arab oil (the winner of the war).

reply top Peecavish - That is not a far fetched prophecy. How about Turkey and India? Will they be pulled into the war? India, Turkey, Israel, USA, Britain, maybe Russia vs Iraq, Iran, Syria, Palestinians and Pakistan. Saudi Arabia's House of Saud will fall and Saudi Arabia will be taken over by US troops. Egypt will stay on the sidelines, afraid of losing Cairo and all their US funding if they enter into the fray. The Egyptian government will put down thousands of its own Islamists. Lebanon will be damaged in the IDF response to Hezbollah attacks from the North. The Kurds will fight with the USA allies and will gain territory in Syria for their efforts. Iran will rain missles on Israel, but will lose Tehran and its other big cities. Israel will lose up to 2 million of its own people. 40% of the Israeli population will die in attacks. Closer to 80% of the Palestinians will die. Following the war Israel will see a large influx of Jews from the USA intent on rebuilding Israel. Gaza will be the new Palestinian State and the West Bank will be incorporated into Israel poper. The US will lose over 1 million of its own citizens in terrorist attacks. Life will get very hard for both Jews and Muslims living in the US for a short period.

reply top Elijah - It's not a prophecy, just a simple hypothesis ;-) I agree with much of what you said. However, I believe that China is one of the largest players in this global chess game. China imports more and more oil as it further develops itself. China is the primary arms dealer to the Arab nations, thereby by default has sided against Israel. And I believe the one nation who is in the best situation is Russia. Russia has plenty of its own oil, and it can choose the side it wants to support (if any). Russia will suffer less than any other (major) nation. ...that's if there is WWIII.

reply top Lets hope there isn't, but I agree with you that Russia is sitting pretty if there is. How much you want to bet they decide to solve their Checnya problem while all this is going on? Who will notice. You're right about China. They are a wild card.

reply top Elijah, Russia continues to impress me with their activities. Putin has convinced Pres. Bush to destroy Al Qaeda at all costs. Al Qaeda, being the Saudi proxy army, was always the thorn in Russia's Caspian pipeline plans. When the US bombed Afghanistan (killing many Chechen seperatists), Russia boosted oil exports and kept the price between $17-$19 per barrel, while the revolt in Chechnya went very quiet. The low cost crude did more to allow the US economy to recover than any other possible economic stimulus activity. Very slick what Putin did. Also, by Bush calling Iran a part of the Axis of Evil, and thus a future military target, Russia smiles because that undermines Iran's plans to work with Total (the French) on a Caspian pipeline of their own. Recently, there is violent resistence returning to Chechnya. And I totally agree, Russia will undoubtedly 'house clean' some Chechen separatists while the world is looking the other way.

reply top ignorants fools The only winnders of all a this will be the arabs.... in a WW3 American economie will fall like it has never fallen b4....therefore creating political unstability...that way Israel will have no mo aid from the US since The US will haveenough of their own problems...therefore israel will be crushed alive and jews will be lining up in that Palestinian pizzeria baking them one by one and then making soap out of them and clean the streets from those parasits!!!

If there is one group that is very much in danger of being wiped off the face of the earth through a cataclysmic military attack, it is the Arabs. Their greatest fantasy assures them of their own destruction. The Israelis will never allow themselves to go down without taking all of the Arab states with them. Iran too.

Given the alignment of nations.. that the U.S. imports a great deal of oil from Arab nations.. that the U.S. military relies heavily on Arab ports for re-fueling.. that the U.S. economy is dependent upon foreign trade (shipped using fossil fuel-based transport systems).. that the U.S. economy is free-market based and very liquid.. and many other reasons based on macro-economic principles.. yes, the U.S. economy will drop about 50% overnight in the event of WWIII.

Any Mid eastern war would have TERRIBLE effect on US economie... didnt u see what happened when iraq stoped their oil production???...just imagine for one second that saudia, koweit iran and iraq all stoped at the same time... baby u would see 3 hour line ups to get some gas a yer nearest gas station...and belive me American economie would take one hell of a fall.......what happened when market go down? Less job...what does less job means? less money criculating? what does less money circulating mean?...lesssss jobs and u do the math..!!!!!

reply top U.S. isn't that dependant on Middle Eastern oil. First there's Argentina (who offers just as much oil as Saudi Arabia). Second, offfshore oil rigs would pop up on the Florida and California coasts almost overnight. Third, the water engine. It's already been invented but Uncle Sam's sitting on the patent. If push comes to shove, it'll make its way to the surface.
