reply top I received a message from Mid-East-Realities that they are 'suspending publication' of MER. Is this because of a lack of funding, or is there a more sinister reason, related perhaps to Attorney General Ashcroft's fight against so-called 'terrorism'? hmmm.

reply top Add my name to those who are pining for MER. I'm very frustrated by its absence, and I can't help but think that it's one of many websites that have been muzzled because of 9/11. Missing MER made me take a look at the forum section for the first time. I was hoping to find the board full of people with the same understanding and sensibilities as Mark Bruzonsky's. Certainly you're out there, I've read your terrific posts. But the board's also full of some retrograde racist morons. What the hell are these people doing here?

reply top Hello friends, I wrote to Mark several weeks back asking if he and his family are doing fine. Well, I got a very dried (read paranoid) response back,'I do not know who you are'. Seems like he is being harrased as his publication, though not widely recognised at this point, is becoming a problem for many. It would be very sad to see him depart or sell out to establishment. He started something that was very very valubale for me, 'jewish committee on MiddleEast.' When he changed its name, I wrote to him that he should not do that as world needs to know that there are Jews out there who condem the racist policies of Israel. Otherwise, when people like me write, I have this big cross painted on my forehead saying somethinglike: critical non-jew=anti-jew. Which is totally wrong. Lets hope that MER does not die and those who are writting on this forum are not harrased in the name of patriotism.
