It is now on the table. There is no political posturing or game playing. Fifty-one percent of Palestinians now want the destruction and liquidation of the state of Israel. A completely unacceptable position has been taken by a population that seems to be on a path of self-destruction.

What kind of value system wants to destroy the existence of an entire society? What kind of society reveres its young people killing themselves for the purpose of killing others? How does a world purporting itself to be civilized stand by and watch this attitude of barbarism?

What will the United Nations say now? Will it continue to condemn Israel while endorsing the Palestinian view that the destruction of Israel and the Jewish people living there is the only answer to this problem? And with the majority of Palestinians continuing to support Yasser Arafat, are we on a path of irreconcilable differences in the Middle East?

Ask yourself what you would do if 21 of your neighbors were bent on your removal from your neighborhood and used violence to force you out. Do we give in to threat, coercion, intimidation and violence when valueless thugs try to impose their will on others? Israel faces that challenge right now, since 20 of the 22 Arab countries and the Palestinians oppose even the existence of Israel.

Israel has consistently offered a dual-state solution to the Middle East dilemma. Prime Minister Sharon said several months ago that one week of peace and no homicide bombings would lead to peace talks to discuss a new Palestinian state. That, of course, did not happen.

The real enemy of the Palestinians is Hamas, Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade and Yasser Arafat. They are willing to use any willing adult or child to carry out acts of suicide and homicide. They are the ones indoctrinating young people with virulent hate for the Jewish people, Israel and the United States.

We should all be reminded that Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East. Recently, a Jordanian journalist was imprisoned for one and a half years for criticizing the government in the press. And Jordan is one of the more moderate Arab states!! But there are Israeli Arabs in the Knesset, and all Arab Israelis have the same rights as Jewish and Christian Israelis.

And ask yourself when it was that we discussed the displaced Jewish population that became refugees from the Arab world and its mistreatment by these dictatorships. There were 700,000 Jews displaced, just as there were 700,000 Palestinians displaced.

But the Palestinians left because the Arab countries told them to do so in order for the Egyptians, Jordanians, Iraqis and Syrians to defeat the newly proclaimed Jewish state. They lost and caused the misery of the Palestinians we see today.

There was a European leader who, more than 60 years ago, was bent on the destruction of the Jewish people. Apparently, his ideology is alive and well in the Palestinian territories.

Golda Meir made an observation that was never more relevant than it is today: There will be peace in the Middle East when the Palestinians love their children more than they hate Israel.

It is a democracy because all Israeli citizens have a right to vote. Whether they are Arab, Jewish, Christian, Druze, or Bedouin. As long as they are citizens they can vote.

That my friend is a democracy. Perhaps your own countries shoud try it? eh House of Saud?

RE: DDK's 'Israel has consistently offered a dual-state solution to the Middle East dilemma.'

More of DDK's drivel: Prime Minister Sharon said several months ago that one week of peace and no homicide bombings would lead to peace talks to discuss a new Palestinian state. That, of course, did not happen.'

Interesting, some bastard Jew has his boot on your throat, he has his gun to your head, he has just shot your 14 year old kid who resisted the intrusion with a fullisade of rocks, the house has been demolished since 3:00 AM when the IDF thugs in their US supplied C-9 Caterpillar bull dozer drove up and gave you 15 minutes to get out and run for your life--and then demolished your life's pride & joy--your home-- and now the Jew SOB points fingers at you for wanting to annihilate the bastard!

Nope, you cannot hold a people under seige for 19 straight months, murdering, maiming, demolishing their sacred homes where they have lived for generations, then stealing their scarce water resources, displacing their people and then demand a non-violent reaction Mr. Jew!

TheAZCowBoy,

PS: Israel, your so-called 'Only Democracy in the Middle East' ( Vomit! ) has no CONSTITUTION, no BILL OF RIGHTS and no defined BORDERS--now try and convince me this 1/2 acre of Zionist hell is any kind of democracy by its loosest definition!

Too bad Arab's in Israel can't buy land, get building permits, or march peacably in protest. The last time they tried to march in protest in September 2000: When LIKUDNIK pig Ariel Sharon invaded Temple Mount with 500 armed to the gills IDF thugs--17 Palestinian's were murdered in cold blood by the IDF thugs and an Arab Knesset member had his house burned to the ground by Zionist fascists.

So much for your democratic 1/2 acre of Zionist hell, huh?

To DDK............the Jewish state also seeks THEIR demise. Both sets of people REALLY do need international help to solve this terrible state of affairs........something the Palestinian leadership have been asking for ages......however Herr Sharon REFUSES ALL EFFORTS OF GENUINE MEDIATION FROM THE WORLDWIDE COMMUNITY......and besides everybody KNOWS that the US and Israel work hand in glove to deny the Palestinian people TRUE self determination fully FREE from Jewish influence.
