ok adam, this is my reply to your answer.
Yes according to the jewish religion jews were choosen and all that you said.....
however, if we talk about facts, as political, strategical and historical facts, if anything goes wrong for the jews in todays world, specially if Israel falls, there will be a very dangerous time for the jewish ppl to come.
For example, Yithzak rabbin knew that if Israel continues the same way, it wont exist in the future, and thats why he did the Oslo accord, not because of his love to peace but cause of saving Israel. However, Sharon and his gang (a ring of very powerful people called 'Mega') and the idelogists in IDF killed Rabbin because of the peace accord, and continued the same path that Israel was on before rabbin.I dont know if God ever blessed jews, but I know that jews have suffered alot in the past cause of their actions, and might suffer much more in the future.
SO if I use the analyze of Yitzhak rabbin, then I can say that now when he is dead and Israel is on its previous path, it will not exist in the future.
However, personally I think Israel is very strong, but as a politicaly strategical way of thinking, a country that is hated by its neighbours, and internaly is not stable, and cannot provide full security in the country, will not last long...foreign investments will decline by time if continued in the same path and economical decline, politically right winged partys coming to power, and dependent on its military for survival and decline in cultural expanding only shows a dark future for Israel.
Ofcourse by seeing these facts, Israel is on a path towards unavoided war....and you cannot always predict how a war ends, you cannot exacly predict what happens after a war, since there are no rules in war and therefore no rules to forecast by.
