reply top israel inflicts terror on palestinians - hardly news, but worth keeping in mind I recently experienced firsthand the current 'security measures' being imposed by the Israeli military in the West Bank. On July 1st, while walking along a dirt road toward the West Bank city of Nablus, I was abducted by Israeli soldiers along with another American, a Briton and two Palestinians. We were taken to a Palestinian residence occupied by the Israeli army, confined to an outdoor patio six paces by six paces, guarded by an armed soldier and informed repeatedly that we would be shot if we attempted to leave. Our passports were taken and our requests for telephone calls were denied. The reason for our detention was never explained. From our open-air cell, I spent 48 hours witnessing and reflecting on what is conveniently called a 'war on terror,' but is increasingly a 'war of terror' waged on Palestinian civilians. I saw a ghost town. Nablus' 200,000 residents imprisoned in their homes by a strict 24-hour curfew that threatens bullets for those venturing outside. By day, armored personnel carriers and tanks patrolled the streets, firing sporadically at children in front of their houses playing soccer. Below us, a Palestinian family was being held hostage because their home had a nice view and therefore was deemed a strategic military position. This practice, prevalent throughout the West Bank, involves families being locked into the lower rooms of their own homes for weeks and kept as human shields for the Israeli soldiers who turn the upper floors into sandbagged bunkers. Like most nights, between one and four o'clock in the morning, the firing started. I watched red tracers from large caliber machine guns on the hilltops etch steady arcs across the city, hitting whatever or whomever happened to be in their path. I fail to see indiscriminate firing on a captive civilian population in the middle of the night as anything but terrorism. A teen-age soldier chambered a round into his M-16 and shoved the barrel at me because he was tired of my requests to call my mother and tell her that I was still alive. Looking down at the assault rifle meeting my chest, I thought my tax dollars paid for that gun. The irony was lost on the young soldier. I began to wonder: If 50 mm rounds hit buildings in Brooklyn after midnight, would we call that 'terror' or 'security measures'? If 700,000 civilians, the equivalent of every major city in Connecticut, were shut in their homes under threat of being shot if found in the street, would the residents of Bridgeport, Danbury, Hartford, New Haven, Norwalk, and Stamford feel terrorized or call it a necessary tactic in a 'war on terror'? If your town was invaded, your home occupied, your family held hostage, would you be outraged or understanding of some 'necessary strategic position'? I think we would call this terror. After 48 hours of captivity, we were handcuffed, blindfolded and taken to a nearby military base. Our passports were returned and we were told to leave on foot. No explanations. No justifications for the arbitrary abuse of power. President Bush has urged Palestinians to 'actively pursue' electing new leaders and political reform and condoned the terror tactics of the Israeli military as a measure of self-defense. Are we forgetting the intrinsic difficulties in pursuing anything while indefinitely imprisoned in one's own home? Our government strongly and correctly condemns violence against innocent Israeli civilians. Why then do we condone violence against innocent Palestinian civilians? Is terrorism called self-defense if the terrorist is wearing a uniform? The effect is the same for the innocent civilian victims. As a Jew, I object to the war of terror being waged on the Palestinian civilian population and fearful of what this bodes for the safety and morality of Israel. As an American, I am ashamed that we are financially and publicly supporting terror tactics being used on a civilian population — exactly what we claim to be fighting against. The United States and British embassies have filed protests on behalf of myself and the other two internationals in the group. Not surprisingly, nobody is taking any action on behalf of the two Palestinian men held captive with us, nor is anybody taking any action on behalf of the Palestinian civilians being held captive by the Israeli military. I just hoped, over hope, that one day this jerk of a president would come home and see his 'Tequila Twins' a bloody mess of torn human tissue, broken bones and singed burnt hair and his home a smoultering heap of ashes. I smiled to myself because I would be clapping at the news, after all, those that live by the bloody sword certainly should die by the same sword, I think so anyway, don't you? I began to wonder about the $600 million 'emergecy' infusion of US taxpayer dollars that this bird brain is considering, ment to bail out that 1/2 acre of Zionist hell that he calls our 'Strategic' ally. I also wondered if the US Congressional AIPAC/ZOA harlots and poster boys & girls will go ahead with the bill currently before Congress to supply the LIKUDNIK thugs of Israel with a new version of a US precision guided bomb that will kill Palestinian's with more effectiveness. Will these low lives of the US Congress have the gall vote to send more weapon's to be used against unarmed civilians--my gut feeling sez 'yes' they will--and I can feel the veins in my temples swell and the pulpitating blood flow reach a higher level, I feel dizzy with anxiety and anger and my foot steps harder on the gas pedal. What's wrong with you G.W. Bush, have you come to be so close to the LIKUDNIK thugs of Israel that Palestinian blood and lives have become inanimate objects to you? Have you so cold a blood running through your veins that you can continue send people you have never met to their death as you did as the govenor of Texas without cold sweat breaking out on your brow? Can you continue to have Sharon give you the stiff middle finger, in front of God and everybody, in response to you asking him to take his IDF dogs out of Palestinian turf without calling him 'A man of peace?' Can you continue to help your LIKUDNIK gang-of-thugs, posing as a government, cover up their murders and massacres from the UN like you did at Jenin in April? Can you continue to use the US' UN veto to run cover for the Zionist state and its criminal racist, bigoted and apartheinik behavior? Can you be the heartless bastard right wing zealot that you are, doing nothing to keep your parasite Jews under a tighter leash? I wonder how the Jewish occupied US Congress people can look at their constituents and convince them that financing Jewish atrocites is good for the US and its people and help us to maintain world respect for America and help maintain world peace through evenhandedness and decency when dealing with two opposing forces. I wonder when the next WTC bombing will occur, and I realize that the day is not too far off considering this 'run amoke' president that we have and all the parasite Jews in the presidents cabinet, the pentagon, even that Jewish low life Donald Rumsfeld who seems intent in turning the Middle East and the Mid-Asian continent into 'Apacolypse now' all for a frikin 2 trillion barrels of oil from the Caspian sea to feed the gluttonous US' appetite for oil for their SUV's and other wasteful toys just because the Saudi's have decided to throw the LIKUDNIK's 'partners in crime' off their turf. Nope, Mr. president, you certainly didn't fool this American with your 'save the ladies of Afghanistan bull shit. I always knew that it was Cheney, UNOCAL and you planning to make millions more--as if your ( and Cheney's ) crooked stock deals and 'creative' accounting methods had had their geneses with the debacle at AMRON & WorldComm. I don't know what the future holds for America under your stewerdship Mr. President, but I am truly worried for our country while you're 'somewhat' in command. But looking at the DOW tonight--dropping almost 700 points in 2 days and the people begining to mutter: 'Am I really better off today than I was during Willie's tenure?' Well, I don't think you better strike this subject anytime soon Mr. Bush because afer pissing away the Clinton surpluses, taking Social Security apart at the seams, carrying an unemployment % figure that is shameful, I can hardly believe that you can blame this debacle called the Bush administration on the prior administration--try as you might. Indeed, after 18 months you have done to the US ecomomy what the low life Zionist Jews have done to embryonic Palestine--you have not only destroyed the US economy, but you have destroyed the world's long standing faith in the US and as we hear your Jewish jerks like the Richard Perles and your Wolfkowitzes, and the other dozen's of Zionist freaks like the Libermans, the Levins, the Feinstines, the Boxers, the Finegolds and the Lantos's, et al., all pushing for a US war on Iraq, I wonder how many of the many enemies of these Zionist scoundral's the US will 'try' to take out to make the world a safer place for that 1/2 acre of Zionist hell called Israel. Maybe I have said too much--but then maybe I haven't said enough--after all 'someone' has to stick your nose in the shit you continue to create and remind you that there will be an America long after you are sent home whinning and lamenting about those that kept you from becoming a great president when in fact the world will know you failed because of your incompetence! Have a good life Mr. President and let people live their own lives, because ( in case you've forgotten ) we are one nation 'under God' with certain inalienable rights--such as life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness! Maybe you should also 'order' your Jewish parasite friends ( as you have Chairman Arafat ) to create a Constitution, a Bill of Rights and in the end, maybe even some defined borders--something the low life LIKUDNIKS would dread to have to do when things have been going so good for them under their US financed policies of STATE SPONSORED TERRORISM, APARTHEID, RACISM, BIGOTRY, EXTRA-JUDICAL ASSASSINATIONS ( i.e. murder ) and even HUMAN BONDAGE, Nuff Said, TheAZCowBoy, PS: Hey, maybe you should build your presidential library in Jerusalem ( maybe on some confiscated Palestinian land ) because as far as I am concerned it will be nothing more than a halocaust memorial to your victims in Palestine, Iraq and all those other countries where you have 'ordered' a regime change only to be looked at by the world as some sort of 'cowboy' fool ( and don't ask me who's ).
