Daily slams Zionists tempo of terrorism and US support of it
Tehran, Dec 4, IRNA -- `Kayhan International' on Tuesday denounced the
Zionist regime's tempo of terrorism in Palestine on Monday and also
slammed Washington's support of the Zionists' latest act of state
terrorism.
The English-language paper was commenting on the Zionist
regime's firing of missiles on the office of Palestinian Authority
Chairman, Yasser Arafat in Gaza on Monday.
But even more worrying is Washington's statement, following the
attack, that 'Tel Aviv has every right to defend itself,' hit out
the paper.
Analysts noted that this blind support for state terrorism,
shatters to pieces, Washington's intensive propaganda since the
September 11 incidents that the attacks on New York and Washington
were acts of terrorism, noted the paper in its viewpoint column.
They warned that 'expression of such blind support for the
Zionist regime's increasing velocity of crimes, could send a wrong
signal to saboteurs worldwide,' beleived the article.
It could make the faceless group that had planned the
incidents in US, say that it was the 'right of self defense in
striking at the economic and military nerves of the US in
retaliation for the catastrophe that American policy has brought for
Americans as well as world people since the end of World War II,'
warned the editoroal.
It is really unfortunate, decried the paper, that the US which
likes to call itself the international gendarme, has never used the
words `right to self-defense' for any operation carried out by the
Palestinians in response to the blood-curdling atroctitries of the
Zinist regime.
Instead, it has gone to the height of hypocrisy in branding such
principled liberation movements as Hamas and the Islamic Jihad, who
are in fact strugglilng to liberate their homeland, as 'terrorists',
while condoning the Zionist regime's state terrorism as 'fully
justified,' hit out the paper.
But whatever be the intentions of the Americans in keeping
Palestine in perpetual turmoil, it cannot be denied that the 'cycle
of violence will never subside in the Occupied Land as long as the
rights of an entire nation are held hostage to Zionist covetesness
for a country that does not belong to them,' reminded the paper.
Arafat, if he is a true Palestinian as he claims, must be
curinsing the day he sold national integrity to Washington and Tel
Aviv in Oslo for a few acres of authority in the occupied land of
his forefathers, criticized the paper.
Describing Arafat's situation as between the 'devil and the
deep', the paper noted that on the one hand his Israeli benefactors
are forcing him to take action against forces that are not under his
control, while on the other hand, his crackdown agianst Palestinian
combatant groups is fast eroding whatever credibility he enjoys
among his compatriots.
In fact, the missiles which destroyed his helicopter pad was not
meant to take his life, since the Zionists knew that he was safe in
Ramallah in the West Bank, wrote the paper.
This attack was just a show of strength for domestic consumption
by Tel Aviv to pacify panic-stricken Zionists following the spate of
martrydom-seeking operations over the past few days by Palestinian
activists, pointed out the article.
It also sent a crude message to Arab countries to 'stay clear
off the Palestinian problem or risk being branded as supporters of
terrorism,' it added.
This is now a challenge not only to the Arabs but to all Muslims
and it remains to be seen how they will react, reflected the paper.
It weighed the idea 'whether they will allow the Americans and
their Zionist surrogates to get away with terrorism in the name of
fighting terrorism, or whether they will finally sit down together
and give serious thought to the chronic issue of Palestine.'
However, the paper warned, the Arabs and the Muslims must realize
that the Zionist entity, by keeping their minds busy with calculated
acts of violence and counter violence, is going from strength to
strength by quietly increasing its nuclear stockpile and experimenting
with US help with genetic and biological weapons in addition to
tightening, its tentacles on world financial institutions and economy.
They must remember that tomorrow will be too late, since
political bankruptcy has made Muslim states swear by the sanctities
of their religion that 'we are not terrorists' as the US watches in
amusement and occasionally threaten to whip them up one by one if
they dare not follow its dictates,' concluded the paper.

My message is plain and simple.Stones and sling-shots against F16,Apache,etc.Where's the balancing act over for the defensiveless people of Palestine for not properly geared with counter atttacks against the full geared Israel regime for what the regime said their rights for intrusion and deep infiltration in the soverignity of the Palestine soil in hunt for militians Palestine. The Palestine's must be aided with surface to surface and surface to air mobile launcher together with heavy ground weapon for the purpose of offsetting the infiltration on ground and from air strikes.Otherwise, the overly provoked and deeply wounded Palestine's mindset militia's will abliviously continue the attacks against the Regime for a one sided and already handicaped west bank war zone. When, there's a balancing power, we shall see the true negotiating process will prevail for the sake of cut loss and the end of the prolong saga.

Britain refuses to ask Israel to act with restrain, offers international troops to guard the prisons where Palestinian 'terrorists' are to be held. The charade of 'balance' and 'negotiation' is over.

UK Straw-Palestine /WRD/
UK offers to internationalise Sharon's war
London, Dec 5, IRNA -- Foreign Secretary Jack Straw Wednesday
announced a new departure in the US-led war against terrorism by
offering to send monitors to the Palestinian Authority to ensure
Yasser Arafat keeps terrorist suspects in prison.
Giving evidence to the parliamentary Foreign Affairs Select
Committee, Straw also indicated that the UK government condoned the
Zionist regime's latest attacks against the Palestinians by putting
the onus on Arafat to end the cycle of violence.
He said he very strongly believed that the Palestinian Authority
needed to take 'unambiguous steps' to establish control over its
territory.
Arafat has to 'work very hard' and ensure that those responsible
for suicide bombings 'stay locked up,' the Foreign Secretary told the
all-party group of MPs.
To this end, he suggested that the UK, as well as the US, were
'ready to provide observers' to verify that these people remain in
jail.
Straw did not indicate who he expected Arafat to put in jail or
whether these should be the so-called list of terrorists produced by
Israel, but his offer to send observers marks a significant departure
to internationalise the Middle East conflict.
He described the situation in the Middle East as 'extremely
depressing' and said that the short-term prospects for peace were
'clearly reduced.'
Although the Foreign Secretary was not questioned directly about
Israel's latest missile attacks against the Palestinian Authority, but
he said he was 'not going to predict Chairman Arafat's future,' when
asked about his likely fate.
Prime Minister Tony Blair's official spokesman was equally
ambiguous about Arafat during Tuesday's lobby briefing, when he was
asked whether he agreed with Zionist leader Ariel Sharon's
description that he was the biggest obstacle to peace.
He replied that it 'would not be helpful' for him to get drawn
into what people were saying about each other in the region. 'We had
to deal with realities,' he said.
It was during the briefing that the official spokesman indicated a
change in British policy in the Middle East, when he refused to call
on Israel to act with restraint.

Does anyone know if it is true that Palestinian television 'regularly' puts out propaganda encouraging people to kill Jews?

This was asserted on the BBC by an Israeli spokesman.
