reply top It is now more important than ever to demand honesty and integrity of our governments. The conspiracy theories are nausiating, never mind actual fact. As a Canadian I am proud that we still manage to hold some credibility in this crazy world. Too many countries have their hands dirty in this one.

reply top Canada is a pleasant enough neighbor, but can we be honest for a moment? It wouldn't make any difference if Canada and Mexico disappeared tomorrow. They are simply not capable of much help to the U.S.

reply top Barb, Maybe I should fill you in. Canada is the 3rd largest contributor to this war against terrorism. The media in Canada and the US distorted Canada's position after the events of September 11. Without pause we ageed to support the US in whatever way we could. Some opposition parties squabbled over 'a blank cheque' but that is their job. I won't speak for Mexico as I am not Mexican but I'm sure you'll hear from someone. The US needs all the help they can get and it's a lot easier to send our 'sons and brothers' off without having read a comment like this.

reply top Jenn, maybe I didn't clarify myself. The USA is extremely appreciative of any help Canada and Mexico can give. What I am saying is that the Canadian military is relatively small in size, as is the Mexican military. Size wise is what I was referring to -- not willingness to help.
