Egypt's Information Technology Development Industry Agency (ITIDA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) to become a founding partner of the WITSA. Through the agreement, Egypt hopes to get more foreign direct investments to establish as an ICT hub in the Middle East. Egypt currently has 1,600 ICT companies.
