The Ministry of Health, Egypt, has confirmed that a 15-year-old girl died of bird flu infection on 10th April. The girl had developed bird flu like symptoms on 30th March and was hospitalized on 5th April - she was from Cairo Governate. So far, 34 humans have become infected with the H5N1 bird flu virus strain in Egypt, of which 14 have died. [click link for full article]
