Iran is ready to restore full diplomatic relations with Egypt by reopening its embassy in Cairo the "very day" the Egyptian government agrees, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday.
Iran's government spokesman Gholam Hossein Elham said today that ties between Iran and Egypt would be to the benefit of world Muslims as well as the countries in the region.
