In an Oct. 14 story listing the latest U.S. military casualties in Iraq, The Associated Press, relying on a spelling from the Department of Defense, erroneously reported the name of one casualty. The soldier was Army Private 1st Class Thomas J. Hewett, 22, of Temple, Texas, not Hewitt. He died Friday at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C., from injuries sustained during a Sept. 26 Fort Hood soldier from McKinney dies in Iraq
