Iraq's deputy prime minister survives assassination attempt, officials say

(CNN) -- Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Salih al-Mutlaq and another lawmaker survived an assassination attempt in Baghdad on Friday, security officials told CNN. Iraqi police said the officials' convoy was ambushed by a group of gunmen with light weapons.
