Lebanon will seek reparations from Israel for damages caused during the summer 2006 war, Finance Minister Jihad Azour said on Monday. Speaking at Johns Hopkins University, Azour declined to say which court or international tribunal Lebanon would petition, maintaining that the case is still being prepared.

The Beirut Marathon Association (BMA), in collaboration with the Italian Sports Committee, announced on Tuesday that the first ever "Race for Peace: Vivicitta" in Lebanon will start on Sunday at the Joseph Khoury Marina in Dbayyeh. The announcement was made at a news conference at the Meridian.

A fire Friday night felled a North Lebanon Township barn. Weavertown Fire Co. Chief Donald Steiner said the blaze broke out at the North 11th Street barn about 11:53 p.m., and firefighters remained on the scene for several hours, soaking burning piles of rubble.
