Lebanon launched last week the first Pollen Count Project in the Middle East entitled "Lebanese Aerobiology and Pollen National Database." The project specializes in the science of atmospheric air and specifically pollen identification, often a hidden cause of allergies which are a rapidly increasing phenomenon in Lebanon.

Lebanon was rated Wednesday a corrupt nation by the Transparency International in the same category with Algeria, Armenia and Mongolia, but in a much better ranking than Iran, Libya and Syria.
