A Van Zandt deputy and two inmates headed to the hospital after a weather related crash this morning just west of the Tyler airport. The patrol car was headed to Palestine taking two inmates to a TDC unit. We're told the deputy was forced to swerve when he saw a maroon and gold truck heading straight toward him, driving in the wrong lane.
