MAYVILLE, Wis. (AP) - A large flock of turkey vultures has turned a cemetery into Mayville into something out of an Edgar Allan Poe story. About 50 of the brooding scavengers have inhabited the Graceland Cemetery. Head caretaker Ralph Smith says they leave a mess of feathers and bird droppings.

The Northern Iowa men's basketball team scored an 87-65 win over Turkey today at the World University Games. Forward Adam Koch scored 20 points, while guard Jared Josten added 19. Koch and Josten combined to make 17-of-22 shots from the field, with Koch hitting 9-of-10.
