Kofi Annan is a weak though dignified man -- that's why the U.S. took the job of U.N. Secretary-General away from Boutros-Ghali and gave it to Kofi. He failed to speak and act when it would have really mattered. He did so much of the American bidding, especially in his first years in office. And now...so late in the day...he's making a few verbal gestures having apparently debugged his office by now. Sorry Kofi...where were you when we needed you?
