Mark Bruzonsky holds dual advanced degrees in international affairs and law from the Woodrow Wilson School of International Affairs at Princeton University (M.P.A.) and from New York University School of Law (J.D.) where he was a Root-Tilden Scholar.  During his graduate school years Bruzonsky was Chief Representative to the United Nations of the International Student Movement for the United Nations (ISMUN) traveling to 35 countries.

For eight years Bruzonsky was Associate Editor of WORLDVIEW MAGAZINE in New York and for two years the interview editor of THE MIDDLE EAST MAGAZINE in London.  From 1977 through 1984 he was Washington Representative of The World Jewish Congress when that organization was headed by Nahum Goldmann, Philip Klutznick, and Edgar Bronfman. And he was personal assistant to Philip Klutznick -- the former President of B'nai B'rith International as well as the World Jewish Congress and Secretary of Commerce during the Carter Administration -- for 10 years.

Bruzonsky has been a consultant on the Middle East for a number of organizations including Congressional Quarterly (CQ), The National Geographic Society, and The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars at the Smithsonian where he published SECURITY IN THE MIDDLE EAST; REGIONAL CHANGE AND GREAT POWER STRATEGIES.  His previous book, THE MIDDLE EAST, U.S. POLICY, ISRAEL, OIL, AND THE ARABS was published by CQ; and he was special consultant for an educational film-strip series, THE MIDDLE EAST, produced by The National Geographic Society.  Bruzonsky was also one of a select group of Middle East experts featured in the multimedia CD-BOOK, LINES IN THE SAND published by Tiger Media in 1995.

Bruzonsky's articles and interviews have appeared in numerous publications in the U.S., Europe, Israel, and the Arab world; and his regular column, "From Washington", was prominently featured in a number of leading newspapers in the Middle East from 1982 through 1994. (See publication information below).

In 1977 Bruzonsky made world headlines when he personally arranged with Egyptian President Anwar Sadat for the sending of the first public telegram from the Arab world to Israel -- his picture appearing with President Sadat on the front page of most Egyptian newspapers.

And in 1982 Bruzonsky authored "The Paris Declaration" which was published on page 1 of LeMonde with a full eight-column banner headline. This historic statement called for an immediate end to the Israeli invasion of Lebanon, Israeli-PLO negotiations, and a Palestinian State.  The Statement was signed by Nahum Goldmann (former head of the World Zionist Organization), Philip Klutznick (former U.S. Secretary of Commerce and President of both the World Jewish Congress and B'nai B'rith International), and Pierre Mendes-France (former President of France) -- three of the world's most senior and respected Jewish leaders.

Bruzonsky provided the live commentary for Canadian National Television during the Rabin-Arafat signing ceremony at the White House in September 1993 and he has appeared on numerous radio and TV programs including The Donahue Show, C-SPAN, Fox, MSNBC, BBC and CBC.   Regarding issues relating to the MiddleEast, Bruzonsky currently hosts a new half-hour weekly TV program, "Mid-East Realities", which shows on all the major cable systems in the greater Washington, D.C. area; and he is Chairperson of the Committee On The Middle East (COME).

Bruzonsky has made more than 150 visits throughout the Middle East region since 1971 and has been the guest of a number of governments and private organizations including Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Israel, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, and Syria.
