one of those snooty Washington foreign policy establishment types unsubscribing from MER.
Looks like we may be doing our job even better than we thought causing
such quick reading and quick reactions! (can you see the tongue-in-cheek smile here?)

we've told everyone our view is that If
You Don't Get MER, You Just Don't Get It!
And indeed, Mr. Edwards, we're very well aware that you and others at the COUNCIL ON FOREIGN RELATIONS just don't get it! From the Council's back-handed support for Israeli apartheid, to the recent NYTimes article by the former Council President about permanently carving up Iraq, to your occasional invitations only to Palestinian quislings more at home in New York ballrooms than barbed-wired villages and refugee camps, 'The Council' just doesn't get it! And now, you don't get MER either!
Please don't change your mind now. Let's be blunt and candid about this -- though we know that's not 'The Council's' public style. We really don't want to be in the company of your Arab nigger-types, i.e. Fouad Ajami, et. al; and your Mossad-CIA-suspect types, i.e. Judith Kipper, et. al; not to mention the self-professed 'liberal' Zionist appologist crowd, i.e. Henry Siegman and Thomas Friedman, et. al . Need we say more? We can't honestly wish you 'good luck'; so we'll just say adios, au revoir, and the one we know you know the best, shalom.
As for everyone else around this troubled world, we think you've now got one more good reason to get MER yourself.
