THE BIG LIES

July 21, 2001

MID-EAST REALITIES © - www.MiddleEast.Org - Washington - 7/21: Goebbels himself could not have done a better job. For those who don't recognize the name, check back in the not too distant history books under the heading Nazi Information Ministry.

"The Big Lies" coming from the Israelis these days are so huge and so patently disingenuous that one wonders why they are not realized to be transparently false by more people more easily. But then we recall there was an abdicated King of England who kept visiting Nazi Berlin, great for photo ops with the Fuehrer...not to mention a British Prime Minister who kept waving around "peace in our time" agreements signed with Hitler, even as the Luftwaffa and the Panza Divisions were fueling their planes and tanks.

Here are a couple of the latest examples -- the first of the great naked "Big Lie"; the second of the craftily disguised twisted one (this later also an example of the latest advances in "technological apartheid").

ISRAEL WISHES TO BEGIN THE DIPLOMATIC PROCESS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

(Communicated by the Director of the Prime Minister's Office Press and Information Division)

Jerusalem Thursday, July 19, 2001

The policy of the Government of Israel is to reach peace agreements with all the Arab countries and the Palestinian Authority.

Israel has accepted the outline of the Mitchell report and the Tenet plan, and even declared a unilateral cease-fire at the time. The response was an increase in Palestinian terrorism, violence and incitement.

Israel has a vested interest in maintaining stability in the Middle East and takes every step possible to maintain that stability. Israel hopes that the Palestinian Authority will do the same.

Israel wishes to begin the diplomatic process as soon as possible but it can only begin after there is a complete halt to terrorism, violence and incitement.

TECHNO TRAFFIC LIGHTS

Jews Green, Arabs Red

[Arutz 7 - 20 July (news source associated with Israel's settler movement)]: The Israel Defense Force's Southern Command will soon place a special traffic light at the Netzarim junction that will allow Jewish traffic safe, unrestricted passage. As of now, IDF jeeps block Arab traffic every time a Jewish convoy passes by. The new light has a sensor that will guarantee a green light for Jewish cars, so that they need not wait like 'sitting ducks' at a red light. Netzarim community sources said, however, that they are skeptical about the new system's workability.
