PRIEST KILLED, NUNS BADLY WOUNDED, CHURCHES UNDER SIEGE
MID-EAST REALITIES - MER - www.MiddleEast.Org - 2:00 PM ET: After ordering journalist out of the occupied territories over the weekend -- some at gunpoint, others already injured -- the Israelis are proceeding in a fashion not unlike the German Storm Troopers of their own history when the Jewish people were on the other side of the tanks and bayonets.
A Christian priest was killed and six nuns were wounded, some in critical condition, today when their church was attacked by Israeli troops.
Several churches have been substantially damaged already by Israeli attacks, and at this time the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem is surrounded and is being shelled. There are thought to be about 150 people including many clergy trapped inside.
Palestinians warn of a massacre if the Israeli attack continues. Many casualties have already been reported in Bethlehem.
