MERTV Program 1 - From the start disaster was foreseeable
for the 'Oslo Peace Process'. MiddleEast.Org - 202 362-5266 (1994)
MERTV
Program 1. It was in 1994 that MER Publisher Mark Bruzonsky was
interviewed about Middle East history and the Israeli-Arab 'Peace
Process' on Chicago Access TV -- and that was the start of MERTV. A few
months earlier Bruzonsky has provided the live commentary for Canadian
CTV throughout the historic White House signing ceremony with Yasser
Arafat, Yitzhak Rabin, and Bill Clinton. Practically alone among the
network commentators Bruzonsky explained how and why the agreement
being signed with so much fanfare that day was likely to fail. The
disasters that have taken place in years since were foreseeable even
then and Bruzonsky outlines why right from the start in this first
MERTV Program. JCOME information can be found at MiddleEast.Org/jcome.

America
is the TITANIC -- it's leadership is complacent, arrogant, and
inadequate -- and it is sailing into very dangerous times.
MiddleEast.org
(12/10/2004)
From
the heart of the Washington Republican 'National Security'
establishment, Harlan Ullman warns that the U.S. has sailed into very
dangerous times and appears like the TITANIC headed for disaster. The
U.S. is in greater danger than at any time since World War II Ullman
insists, and his Washington credentials for doing so are substantial.
At present Ullman is associated with the Center for Strategic and
International Studies (CSIS), where many others including Henry
Kissinger and Zbigniew Brzezinski also hang their hats. The dangers
Ullman warns are in many ways as much from within as from without. The
TITANIC metaphor is a powerful one, and Ullman repeats it a number of
times for emphasis. Ullman spoke at a downtown Washington think-tank on
9 Dec 2004. His talk and the Q and A period are about an hour.

the 'Peace Process', when nearly everyone was declaring it successful

explaining that no real Palestinian State was going to be allowed by
the Israelis, that settlements were being surreptitiously expanded, and
that an explosion of violence was surely coming. In 1996 a series of
four MERTV programs was made after an exclusive interview at the MER
studio in Washington with Robert Fisk, the Western journalist who has
served longest in the Middle East region and writes for The Independent
in the U.K. This is Part 1 of that 4 part exclusive interview with
